In 1969 Fred Weituschat, a former producer at Wilding Studios in Chicago formed his own company and in 1972 was incorporated as Weituschat & Associates. Clients included well known firms such as Walt Disney, General Electric & Lions Club International. As the production business grew, Audio Visual Systems was formed in 1979 as a rental house to serve a growing market for rental equipment. In 1984, Audio Visual Systems moved to its present and convenient location just west of Chicago's Loop.
